2. Overview
Triangle Calculator runs entirely in your browser. The triangles you enter and all calculations stay on your device and are not sent to us. The website shows no advertising and uses no tracking or analytics. Personal data is processed only as described below: when the website is delivered, when settings are stored in your browser, and when you contact us.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. When you open the website, the server automatically processes technical data that your browser sends: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, browser type and version, and operating system.
This is necessary to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the reliable and secure operation of the website. Microsoft acts as our processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. We do not combine this data with other data and do not evaluate it to identify you. Microsoft deletes log data after a short period in line with its own retention rules.
4. Storage in your browser
To keep your work and settings, the calculator stores the following entries in your browser's local storage: the last triangle, display settings, the chosen language and the chosen copy format. This data is not transmitted to us or to third parties. The storage is strictly necessary to provide the function you requested, so no consent is required (§ 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, TDDDG). You can delete these entries at any time in your browser settings.
When you use "Copy link", the current triangle is written into the page address. Whoever you send the link to sees that triangle; it contains no personal data.
5. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are delivered from our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or other font services is made.
6. Contact by email
If you write to us, we process your email address, your message and any data you include, in order to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is answering enquiries. We delete the data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). To exercise your rights, an email to the address above is sufficient.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the authority responsible for us: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg (LfDI BW), Heilbronner Straße 35, 70191 Stuttgart, Germany.
8. No automated decisions
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
9. Changes
We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The current version is always available on this page. The binding version of this policy is the German one.
